Well, what can I say we have a new boy!!! Peter has recovered really well. Since coming home we have seen improvement after improvement. He is happier, better concentration, not complaining of feeling sick all the time, generally just bright eyed and bushy tailed. Wow. The only downside is the realisation of just how unwell the poor little fellow must have been feeling.
We have been busy just getting back into a routine and enjoying being together. Getting some good healing time in. Peter is still coming down to us at night but I think he is improving; who knows what goes through his mind, we will just keep riding the wave with him & I think he will get over things OK.
He has certainly changed towards the medical proffession, I used to be able to talk him around for almost anything. Now he goes off at the sight of medical instruments... I knew it would happen I guess but it is heartbreaking none the less. We went to the doctor's the other day & before we went in he asked me if the doctor was going to hurt him, I said no & he was OK with that but it was hard to know that he was scared.
All in all life is good. Peter is healing physically and emotionally. The journey continues.

Peter had a reasonably good night, he came and got into bed with us... Can't blame him for wanting to be close to us.
He has just had a rest & is back out playing with the kids & Craig. He will miss the playground, it is always quite a hit with the kids. It was beautiful to watch him this morning sharing his scissors with a little friend we have made; they played beautifully together.
Me, well I am a bit flat today. I guess maybe the professionals might call it a bit of post traumatic stress syndrome... By golly gosh, aren't I intelligent with the big words today. Anyway, you know the flat feeling you get after you have had a lot of stress & the adreniline has been pumping fast & furious. Well anyhow that's how I feel flat after a big moment. Took a lot of words to get that out didn't it.
Our little man is a hero, that is all I know.
